The Japan Wind Power Association (JWPA) is pleased to announce the selection of Shigeru Yasu as its new President at the Board of Directors meeting held today. The JWPA has established the "Review Committee on Decision-Making and Activities of JWPA" (JWPA Review Committee), which is currently conducting a review process. JWPA will strive to restore trust in wind power generation and the JWPA as a transparent, neutral, and fair organization through constant efforts.

Based on the guidance from the Agency for Natural Resources and Energy regarding the review of the operational structure of the association as announced by JWPA on October 18, 2023, the "Review Committee on Decision-Making and Activities of JWPA" (abbreviated as "JWPA Review Committee") was established and held its first meeting on October 31, 2023. The report of this committee will be summarized by the end of this year.

JWPA signed an MOU for mutual cooperation with NOW (Norwegian Offshore Wind) which is a Norwegian offshore wind power organization. Norway is keen to develop floating offshore wind power.
