Installed capacity of wind power generation at the end of 2016: 3,234 MW, 2,175 units
JWPA announces the installed capacity of wind power generation in Japan as of the end of December 2016 and the estimated data for FY2015 (as of the end of March 2017). They are surveyed by the JWPA.
Cumulative installed capacity at the end of December, 2016
= 3,234 MW, 2,175 units, 446 sites
Net new installation for 2016 (January-December)
= 195 MW, 98 units, 13 sites
Estimated cumulative installed capacity at the end of FY 2016 (end of March 2017)
= 3,378 MW, 2,175 units, 453 sites
Estimated net new installation for FY 2016 (April 2016 – March 2017)
= 300 MW, 147 units, 13 sites
