The 5MW floating turbine for Fukushima project has been completed on 24 May

The 4th floater (one for substation) for FukushimaFORWARD project has been launched from dockyard of Hitachi-Zosen (Hitz, subconstructor of JMU) at Sakai city in Osaka pref. on 2 May.
It was carried to offshore of Sumoto port at the west side of Osaka bay with shallow water line.
The constructor pulled water inside the floater to stabilize it onto the shallow seabed, in order to prepare for the fabrication of 5MW wind turbine.
The floater leaned about 45 degree on 9 May and was uprighted on 14 May.
The turbine fabrication work shall be start on 18 May, and the 5MW floating offshore wind turbine is expected to set sail to the installation site off Fukushima in July.
