Two Floating Wind Turbines Start Operation in Japan

Japanese government has conducted two floating wind turbine demonstration projects by MOE and METI. Their two 2MW floating wind turbines started operation this autumn as shown in the table below. They became world third and fourth MW class floating wind turbines.
 World first floating substation named “Fukushima-Kizuna” also started in operation at Fukushima. More two 7MW floating wind turbines will be joined by the end of March 2016.
