Japanese METI chose two SPCs for northern grid line extension for wind power development

METI has decided to build new grid lines at northern Japan called Hokkaido and Tohoku so as to use plenty of wind resources there. It will take about 310 billion JPY for 10 years and METI offers 50% subsidies for this project. METI chose two SPCs (Special Purpose Companies) for the first year with 25 billion subsidies as follows;

Japan Sea Side: Nihon-Souden Co. funded by Mitsui Co., Marubeni Co. and SB Energy Co..
Okhotsk Sea Side: Hokkaido-Hokubu-Fuuryoku-Souden Co. funded by Eurus Energy Holdings
