Global Wind Day 2009 Report

Various events are held for Global Wind Day throughout the world every year on June 15.

Events associated with Global Wind Day were held in various places last year: Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture; Yokohama Plant, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd.; Tomamae, Hokkaido; Ashikaga Institute of Technology; and Akita, Akita Prefecture.

Since the Global Wind Energy Council (GWEC) announced the Global Wind Day 2009 report at this time, which summarizes worldwide conditions, we report it here.

A photograph of the city of Yokohama is posted in the beginning. The international division of JWPA plans to offer support activities so that this year more people will participate in more places in collaboration with the Japan Wind Energy Association.
